Wow! this is an hard one........ But I like Westinghouse a lot! But thats what most people's favorite is! for both Lumes and Bulbs!!!
But if I had to choose the current fixtures....my Favorite current streetlight brand is American Electric.......whoops I mean General Electric!!!
For favorite brand for current bulbs.....Philips.......(well thats kinda Westinghouse again...because the bulbs have some little bit of Westinghouse....) The Philips bought the Westinghouse!

Well, to tell you the truth. I like Thorn (EMI) lanterns but GE is not my favourite for lamps at the moment so the prize goes to Philips

yes I completely agree GE is not my favorite for lightbulbs....because a lot of those reveals are junky and a lot of those bulbs like 15 and 25 watts dont last the rated hours and stuff like that......

If you mean maker for fixtures or lanterns it would be Industria. They make strong and long lasting fixtures

My future Z9533 has a GE 35w SOX lamp fitted last year and it has already badly blackened! So much for 4 year life that GE promised.

I would have to say Westinghouse is the true classic, afterall, George Westinghouse beat out Thomas Edison in the AC vs. DC war in the early days of electricity. Also, the classic Lifeguard merc lamp is known for its super long life and lumen maintenence. Their cobraheads are also a thing of beauty. Don

Rare white reflector

My favorite brands for street lights is a tie between GE and Westinghouse. Both manufacturers made good street lights with bullet proof ballasts. For lamps, I prefer the OLD, pre 1983-84 GEs, Sylvanias, and Westinghouses. Duro-Test and other long life offbrands sure made good stuff also. Today, the USA made incandescents are still pretty good but I have had some problems. The GE 15 watt soft whites are incorrectly labelled at 2500 hours. I have changed dozens and dozens of GE 15 watt soft whites at work (we use them in the exit lights). I record the date of installation on every lamp. I have NEVER had a single GE 15 watt last beyond 1500 hours. Not one, NONE. On the other hand, a long burning fake Westinghouse (formerly Abco) clear 15 watt 130 volt bulb finally burnt out after more than 2 years of use. That's more than 6000 hours! I had enough with the GEs, we now use Sylvanias and Philips which are still decent. The GE 40-100 watt soft whites are still ok as long as they are not made in China. The Chinese GEs are junk complete with softer glass, rough aluminum bases that seize in sockets, substandard tungsten filaments, etc. They almost always burn out faster than the USA made GEs.
