I gave a Whiteway angle light second life « on: February 23, 2019, 11:29:21 PM » Author: Twin120112
I posted about this a few years ago, when I was on the hunt for a Whiteway Cobra.  I ended up finding one I liked at a business that used to be a Standard station. To make a long story short, I was able to obtain it from the business, and remove it from its pole.  I had to have a new pole custom-made, because I wanted to restore it and put it into service at my house, where I run my landscaping company. The removal was in 2016, I installed it in 2017 after restoring the fixture myself, and it’s still in service, lighting up my yard! It has (6) F72T12/D/HO lamps. I know a lot of you on here like these Whiteway fixtures, so enjoy! Photos are from its original location, removal, and it’s new spot. If you have questions about it just ask  :mv:

Wow !!!’ Nice 👍

Yep , All You have to do is ask for this old stuff , Most people if they have no use for it will either give it to You or sell it to You
You’ll never know unless You ask !!!

Thanks for saving this light !!’

I see them all over the place but they’re never turned on aside from a few gas stations who still maintain them. I don’t know why businesses don’t keep them functional  :-\

Here’s another one on a local street, 4 power grooves still intact!

looks great. its cool to see vintage fluorescents still operating. These fixtures are hiding in the open, im surprised more people aren't re purposing them.
