About a WEIRD thing. « on: October 23, 2008, 10:11:56 PM » Author: Foxtronix
Hi!

Recently a 3-way lamp burned out in my house. I didn't have any spare 3-way lamps, so I put a chinese Globe superbulb (not 3-way). It lit without any problems (I could make it lit, that's it), but it burned out in 1 hour! The lamp was brand new BTW. I thought it was a defective lamp (this can happen sometimes). Then I put the other bulb of the pack and it burned out also in 1 hour!! this time it CANNOT be a defective lamp... I didn't find any reasons because:

- It's not caused by overheat, the lamp wasn't excessively hot.

- I don't think the voltage made the lamps burnt out...

So anyone know what happened?

Bad batch of bulbs are common in the lack of QC that the Chinese offer.
