Recently I found a broken Alto II fluorescent tube from Philips. This tube was only 3 month old!! (H8 code) That was a piece of crap! Alto is a total mess, so Alto II is a real disaster!!!!

This junkola has only 1.7 grams of mercury, compared to 8 mg for standard fluorescents and 3 mg for other low mercury fluorescents!

i actually had a t12 alto explode when i barely tap the end on my work truck boom the glass on that tube was really really thin compared to older and some newer lamps i think there crap

alto backwards spells #%^$!!!!

Rudy: Didn't take a look at the electrodes, I was so shocked by the date code!  ;D  I think it had cathode guards, not sure though...
