This is a question for our US members, I think they have a way of doing it by bridging two of the contacts out on the ballast?, as they have successfully run 18 watt Sox on US ballasts with multiple wires?

I don't see any problem to run SOX 18W on a 18/20W T8/T12 magnetic ballast + S2 glow starter or a cheap 18W T8 electronic ballast.

I lives in Israel, which is a 220-240V, 50hz country.

That should be working. The ballast has a quite high voltage without load (c. 300V) , so that might be enough to light the lamp. Das sollte funktionieren. Das EVG Regelt den Strom von alleine. Es hat eine höhe lehrlaufspannung meist über 300V, das müsste zum Zünden der Lampe reichen VG / Kindest Regaurds Alex
