Odd Nema Style Yardblaster « on: February 06, 2009, 11:44:42 PM » Author: form109
here's a strange thing i ran across on the Internet its a Nema Style Yardblaster it's the one at the top of the page, its definetly a yardblaster with its distinctive wall mount bracket, but a closer look reveals clips on the refractor...now that is a combo..i havent bought one but i might..its a little steep the 175 watt Mercury one costs 66.62$ and the 150 watt hps unit costs a Wallet-Denting 86.91$..both versions Weigh in at a Hefty 18 pounds so maybe they are of decent quality...and i do mean maybe.

That's interesting, and even still mercury! It is kind of steep, but at least they offer the 12" optics. That's a good one 'wallet-Denting' for the HPS model. ;D

Not strange to me, they have made those and sold those since the 80s...in fact my SA-201 is one of em with that feature....it is just the screws aren't as visible....

Cooper and AE also sells those currently.......and Philips from the 80s had those feature too!

Nothing new!  and YES it is an NEMA

I've never seen a light with the wall flange that's also NEMA.  Many of the AEs can take screw on or NEMA latch on optics, but even those that I've seen don't have a wall flange.
