I've accually done that once with a cheap generic bulb i got for 75 cents.

At the transmitter site we have a "soda load" for the transmitters that uses sodium carbonate mixed in water as the load electrolyte.Can handle up to 750Kw.When the VSWR on the transmitter goes up-time to replace the electrolyte.It has arced in the load element chamber with the load electrodes-those had to be replaced.Wasn't there to see it blow!

For sure! I only need a cheap L*D bulb.  ;D  I'll not ad too much salt, because my small 10A breaker can pop.  ;D

Thanks dude, if you have a higher amp breaker available then use it! or if you have two phases in your house then use both for more power!

I'm limited to a single phase 220V 10A, so I can't get much from this. I have a 2KV MOT, but it is just too dangerous. Well, I don't need too much power to fry a cheap L*D lamp.  :lol:

Edit: In the second video the insulation of the heater seems to be asbestos.  :poof:
