It says in the description: “Photos will be printed on cheap paper in a home printer, but are great for reference!”
I think this is a scam, trying to get someone to pay $1000 for paper photos.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it.
I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

I think they put the $1000 price tag on the photos (if they are that is) because they're "history" and "you won't be to able see sights like this anymore".

I know, the reason I said that is because someone could simply take a screenshot of the photo in the listing, edit everything else out, and print it for free.

I wonder if the seller thought of it.  :)

Sadly, this sort of scam flourishes because there is always some fool out there willing to be parted from their money  :-\

Personally, I would report it as a scam.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

The majority of those pictures are awful...wouldn't spend .99 cents for the whole lot...what are they thinking? Definitely clueless, or a scammer.

With the price of ink in home inkjet printers, I feel like it's cost me nearly a $1,000 to print those pics!

That's why I wouldn't touch an inkjet printer if you paid me. Laser every time here. We've had our current Samsung colour laser printer (a.k.a. "The Beast") for 3 years and it's only on its second set of toner cartridges. Granted, laser toner isn't cheap, but the large capacity black cartridges last for 6000 pages and the colour ones for 3500.

It prints A4 colour pictures quite well, if I need anything bigger (rare) I'll go to a print shop and get them to do it.

Same here.
Now that I've owned a laser printer, I'll never buy another of that inkjet junk.

We've now a BW laser and an inkjet.

Laser is for documents and inkjet is for photos.

The inkjet used to be our only printer, and replacing the ink was becoming ridiculous.

Still an inkjet at home for the very infrequent parent's printing needs. A 20 years old HP 930c with aftermarket cartridges, that was bought new in the late 90s and still works perfectly to this day

Few lasers - all of which i got for free from trash finds, with problems as simple as a paper jam, empty toner, or no problem at all - in my collection for my own uses. Both color and black, of different manufacturers

Today one gotta be careful when shopping for printers of all types, they are basically an extortion scheme. See HP "Dynamic Security" - printers getting updated over the internet to identify and reject the latest "counterfeit" aftermarket cartridges

It’s not a scam, it’s money laundering.
