Apparently nearly half of all of the HPS fixtures were replaced with LED OVERNIGHT, so I was unable to save any.   They’re all GE Evolve fixtures, and replaced thousands of perfectly working M-400s that were just installed LAST YEAR. What a waste. When they come to my street, I will attempt to save some fixtures. Sadly, the HPS fixtures taken down will all be scrapped.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it.
I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

I have thousands of photos of all of the street lighting before LED came. Should I upload some more to document it?

That sucks. 4000K makes it even worse. I’m happy to say, my town is still HPS. There’s only one LED, it’s a NHEC spot replacement.
