Does anyone know when cities in the US had their last carbon arc street lights removed? From what I understand, carbon arc lamps for street lighting are totally extinct in the US and the entire world.

My guess when HID became a wide spread light source. One of the latest "users" were the "moon towers", before they were converted to MV...

Incandescent lamps replaced the carbon arc lamps in streetlighting firstly.
