HID, LPS, and preheat fluorescents forever!!!!!!
|
The rarest light bulb in my collection is a Cryselco 60w SLI/H linear low pressure sodium lamp. Concurrently, the rarest fixture I have in my collection is my Real D3748 60w SLI/H fixture. In addition, my other rare light bulbs include 3 GE /C 100w A23 mercury vapor lamps, a Westinghouse 100w /C A23 lifeguard, and a Sylvania 400w /C BT37 lamp.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it. I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

I'm not sure if I have anything that qualifies as rare, the only lamps I can think of that might qualify are my GE Photo-Dan 200w R20 bulbs, as there isn't a lot of info online about them, and maybe my Creators Tri-Mizer 3-way fluorescent adaptor, as the only info you can find by googling the name is a couple of Trademark websites and my post.

Rarest lamp would be my duo of ken-rad H38-4JM mercury vapor flood lamps for lamp purposise.
I dont really have any fixture but a close one would be this 50's bakealight socket with duel plugs.

Rarest lamp would be my GE ? Clear HPS Flood : https://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=5201&pos=14&pid=164019Rarest fixture ? Well that would probably be a 6 way tie between my 700w Westy OV-50 , The 1000w GE finned M-1000 with P/C socket , The top mount GE Form 400 , The Revere Unitized Urbanoval , The Joslyn 175w Cobra head or the 100w MV MC Philben wall pack

Rarest lamp? Not sure, maybe my 175w GE Bonusline /W MV, 400w GE Bonusline clear MV, Westinghouse 250w Ceramalux-4 Deluxe HPS or 80w Philips HPL or my 4ft GE Power Grooves.
Rarest fixture? I'm thinking either the GE Crimefighter, The Revere urban lites or maybe one of the Powerlites.

Although I wouldn’t call them rare, more old, mine are just six: Philips 60watt SO/I bamboo, 1950s Mazda 200watt clear GLS (with British Railways printed on them) 1950s Philips 160watt MBT/U, 1951 Osram 400watt MA/V, 1963 Thorn 140watt SLI/H, not sure of date? GEC 200watt SLI/H, not sure of date? As for fittings, I don’t really have anything I would consider rare?

We've still got to sort through all of the lampses that we got, but I think a top runner for the rarest lamp is a 1,000W HPS one that is an engineering sample.
