What are your electricity rates? (US cents / KWH) « on: October 26, 2020, 08:22:28 PM » Author: HPS_250
I’m just wondering what the electricity rates of other members are here. In California, electricity is generally kind of expensive or on the high average for the US. For me, it’s $0.20 per KWH. I generally use about 290 KWH per month.

I’ve always been interested in all kinds of lighting, mainly incandescent and HID, and especially all kinds of sodium lamps (HPS/LPS). I’ll tolerate LED but I’m not a fan of it.
I’m not proud to say that my city has Devolved to LED.

Electric company for me is Greenville Utilities Commission.Yesterday had a partial power outage-this has happened several times the last few years.Lead from the LV  junction box spliced again-like the fourth time-When I called the problem in to their trouble desk two trucks came to my house-they were digging up the junctions and testing them.Mentioned to them about the leads going from the boxes into my house-they got out their tracer and found the break in my line-first they dug up the line by hand-then called in their backhoe. Also the supervisor came and a man from their engineering dept. They traced out proposed new lines for my house and the neighbors.Underground residentual wiring-50 yrs old!Cables and splices corroding. Will see when the new lines run.Would be NICE!!!GUC is usually pretty good.

Our total average electricity bill in our house is about $60, with a 220V 10A circuit. I think that's quite expensive.

0.45 ILS/kWh = $0.13/kWh
(0.53 ILS/kWh = $0.15/kWh incl. VAT)

Connection : 1x40A 230V (single phase)

Over here we're moving back to the time of use system after a temporary flat rate of $0.128 per kWh over the summer.

Winter Time of Use Prices(November 01, 2020 - April 30, 2021):

I just checked my bill, and I pay $17 'customer charge' +11¢/kWh in the winter, or 12¢/kWh in the summer for my standard 240V 200A service. Wisconsin rates are a bit on the high end (for the US), says google.

I think Belgium is maybe highest or second highest price in Europe per kW/h.  At home I have to pay around $0.45.  There are so many additional costs for the spectacularly inneficient distribution network.  However industries get their electricity very cheap, at work the rate is almost 10x lower.
