I actually wouldn't say there is anything wrong with the review. It is more false advertising.

Here's a review on GE 100 watt soft white bulbs that were presumably used in lamps with a smaller maximum wattage. The maximum wattage on fixtures is there for a reason, so you don't start a fire, ruin your lamp, and/or burn out the bulb.  There are a lot of funny complaints about these being made in Hungary and being "not for sale for use in the USA."  I'm sure they would work fine if used in a lamp that was rated for 100 watt bulbs.

Couldn't be worse. They run so hot that they ruined all my lamps -- the switches, not the shades. I don't know what these things are, but they are NOT regular GE Soft White Incandescents.
