T17 Spotted in Toronto « on: April 05, 2021, 11:59:00 PM » Author: joseph_125
I was looking through some urban exploration pictures and I came across this gallery. Picture number 10 caught my eye as the tubes in the light on the left look to be a bit wider than your typical T12. Unfortunately the light is no more as the factory floor section got demolished while the tower got renovated as a museum.

T17 stuff was used in Canada at one point but they seem to be impossible to find now.

What do y'all think?

Looks like the 3 foot  T-17 preheat version but then again itís hard to tell,

One things for sure If it is the 3 foot version they didnít make bulbs for that fixture for very long . Those bulbs would have had to have Ben brass end cappers ,

Sure wish the T-17  -  3 footers survived - One can only dream,

Now that would have been a neat find. It's a shame this light is probably no more. I believe the 3ft T17 was only made for a couple years during WWII and so are a lot rarer than the 5ft T17s.
