Yeah, it's not looking good, especially for us petrolheads, you're just not allowed to have fun in a car any more  :'(

I've been very busy lately due to work happening at home.
During this time, I decided to transfer some old games to my current computer so I could relive my childhood.
I'm currently reskinning a Hello Kitty game using sounds and textures that I've ripped from other games or created myself.

We've been messing about with our electrical test rig, fitting bootlace ferrules onto the conductors in the CU (Consumer Unit).

My good deed for the day was to take food that we didn't need over to the local food bank.  8)

Fitted a fire extinguisher in the car. Hopefully we'll never need it, but it's as well to be prepared.

Bought myself a new (old) snowmobile this week.  1977 Ski-Doo Alpine.  Although no museum piece, it's in surprisingly good shape for a 46-year-old snowmobile.  Its only problem is that the hi/lo beam switch for the headlight is broken, so the headlight flashes on and off.  While talking to the seller, he mentioned that he was looking for an old Tundra, so I ended up selling him my 1991 Ski-Doo Tundra.

Found a scanned copy of the owner's manual, along with wiring diagrams and a parts catalog.  Problem with the parts catalog is that many of the parts numbers have been long since superseded or discontinued.  Other problem is that it's primarily in French.

Yeah, right..  ;D

Never going to happen, for 2 reasons - (a) because I hate being on camera, and (b) because it'd take me at least 300 years to get that good, and I don't think either of us have got that long   :mrg:

Yesterday anyways . I spent the evening diagnosing the ignition system in my old van . It literally ran so bad it was vitually undrivable ! Problem turned out to be a catastropic part failure inside the distributor which in turn destroyed the part next to it . It wound up being quicker and cheaper to just replace the entire distributor ass'y than to just replace the 2 destroyed parts . The van now runs smoother and quieter than it has in a couple of years ! I'm happy !!  8)
