Feel free to show pictures of the rarest ballasts in your collections and explain how you got them.

The picture depicted below is of my Jefferson Electric 400w H33 HX HPF mercury vapor ballast for 120v 60hz mains supplies. I got it off eBay.

HID would probably be my 50w HX mercury ballast.

Fluorescent would be my Knobel 65w SRS ballasts, imported by Ardco for North American use on 240v 60hz refrigerator lighting circuits and rerated by Ardco for F48 and F60 HO lamps.

A reactor ballast for MV lamps of 50W, 80W and 125W all in one by just changing the tap. There is another much older type I have which is either for MV 125W, 185 or 250W.

Hmmm, that would be good. I've got a dual 80/125W one but the addition of 50W would be useful.

Yes 185W not 175W.  :)
To be honest I’ve never seen a bulb having this wattage but I assume it once existed here in Switzerland (made by MEDA?) for a very brief time. There are still some ballasts around and lanterns indicating this wattage.

That's just out there man, wonder how good that would be at running a 175w. :wndr:
