Well you must have been taught a completely different version of English than I was, then..! I know language evolves, but I'm not sure what it's evolved into in this case

Diehard MV, HPS, SOX & Preheat Fluorescent Fanatic
|
I have a few favourite items. In the streetlight category, my Homebrew 400w MV Sylvania Roadster takes out the top spot. I had a great time relocating the MV gear out of it's old shoebox fixture that had seen better days and reinstalling it into the freshly repainted Roadster shell. It now looks and works like new!
My favourite fluorescent tube was a pink F40T10 tube made for the Japanese market. Unfortunately, I accidently broke it when I tripped over. I have ordered an NEC model of the same type to replace it. The title for my favourite tube now goes back to my 2 blue GE F20T12 bug zapper tubes with my brass capped F40T12 ELMA tube coming in at a close second.
I also love the 11 watt Philips Ambience CFL bulbs in cool white and daylight because they look almost identical to 50w MV bulbs when lit.
My favourite incandescent bulb is a 90w Philips bulb that has a carbon filament. It was found in a box of old bulbs given to me by someone doing LED upgrades
My AJ Ferguson Zodiacs, 50w MV B2222 with vertical lampholder, My NOS open diffuser B2223, The fully functional 150w HPS Roadster I made entirely from roadkill parts and the 2 Rymer F36T8 battens that light up my room while I work are some other favourites of mine

Fluro starter pings combined with a 50hz ballast hum and blinking tubes is music to my ears.

Nothin' Like Clear MV...
|
My #1 (if I could only choose ONE) favorite would, hands-down, have to be my GE LMSFL-70 Miser HPS Flood. My 2nd would be my NOS Philips 18W Mini-SOX wallpack. Both can be found in my gallery if you haven't already seen them.

Beside my 2008 M-400, I really like my recently acquired Philips 35W SOX lamps. They look cool and maybe will get a Workhorse 3.

My favorite has to be either my F90T17 fixture or my neon sign.

Resolutely crack down on inferior LED lighting!!
|
My favorite is my mushroom-shaped LED vintage bulb, which not only dims, but also has a very beautiful shell that is hand-blown. Second place is obviously my Philips Master 12V 4000K MR16 reflector.
