Some T5 fluorescent tubes designed for aircraft have different connectors at the end of the tube. The bases look pretty much the same as an Intermediate Edison base but not threaded, just smooth metal tubing.

Does anybody know what these are called? Where do you find them?
 

For Soviet/Russian aviation T5 fluorescent lamps like ЛБ8-2, these are called S15s/12. Historical Soviet name probably 1Ц15-1

Looks close to B15, but without bayonet pins, and with a pressed groove near vitrite insulator.

My Soviet ЛБ4-2 lamps have bases that measures exactly 15mm, though.

So they are called S14s sockets? Where can you get them (if anywhere)?

Or S15s. Google or whatever is your friend, as usual.

I just soldered the wires to the tube directly.




 

All I am getting is turn signal sockets, and none of them have the plunger-action needed to install a fluorescent tube, so I suppose I am out of luck
