There is this electronics store near me that had a bunch of stuff, but they also have surplus used stuff that they put out a lot. Well, for as long as I can remember being there, there was an NA-1 low pressure sodium spectral lamp with its stand, ballast, housing, and dewar jacket and literally everything else you could need. James' website describes the particular lamp inside with great detail:
https://lamptech.co.uk/Spec%20Sheets/D%20SLP%20GE%20NA1.htmAlthough it has been there for a while, I only recently actually took the cover off and looked at what was inside, and lo and behold it was an NA-1. Like much of the more valuable stuff there, it doesn't have a price tag, and they just call up the owner and come up with a price when someone gets it. I have gotten really great deals from those kinds of things just because they really don't expect a child to be interested in electronics like me. Anyway, how valuable/rare are these things? Should I get it? If I don't end up getting it I will disclose its location so maybe one of you nearby can get it, but there aren't a whole lot of members near me.
