I prefers clear MH lamps where you can see the arctube and the arc inside clearly.

I agree . I also have a coated lamp in my RAB Area Light JR . I initially had a clear in it but the pattern had WAY too many "hot spots" for my liking . I changed to the coated version and the area is nice and evenly lit now with no more "hot spots" I use clear when optical control is required (my Wide-lite) or something with a nicely patterned refractor .

Unless I have a reason to go with diffused, I generally prefer clear.  Works out well since they're by far the most common.

For me, I prefer retrofit quartz and ceramic metal halide retrofit lamps for mercury vapor fixtures sold in Japan the best.

Always clear, never really been a fan of coated MH especially for the higher wattages.

Coated MH lamps are suitable for high bay and low bay fixtures, where they burns vertical.
