| Yes, they did. I found a 2005 catalog, 2000s spec sheets, and they did make one in 175W probe start metal halide. Don’t know if PSMH ones existed or if they were all HPS after probe start metal halide got banned.
The HPS and mercury vapor versions are far more common and I’ve never found an MH one in person. The GE Town & Country is notorious for having the NEMA tags fade to white so you may not be able to tell what light source it is, but if it says “17” it’s most likely mercury, if it says “10”, it’s most likely HPS, but it can be mercury. Any other tag (5, 7, and 15), if that’s in the fixture, then it’s almost certainly HPS.
