Unusual Slimline Ballast « on: September 09, 2014, 08:39:03 PM » Author: mbulb146
Just saw this 2x F96T12 ballast on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENERAL-ELECTRIC-8G1008W-MAXI-MISER-II-INSTANT-BALLAST-120VAC-136W-D252710/290985734602?_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131231084308%26meid%3Dad1c2f06409e488ca4cb09d6b03e50e3%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D20131231084308%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D24%26sd%3D200718212987

Note the wiring diagram that is different from a normal series slimline magnetic ballast.  At first I thought this was a lead-lag ballast, but it is rated for 50F starting temperature, where as a lead-lag can start at lower temperatures since each lamp gets the full ballast OCV.

Anybody know why this is different?
