Today I partially melted the head of my favorite Philips screw driver when I foolishly used it to try to push some wires further back in a wall box.  Quite a brief light show!  And it didn't trip the breaker either :D

Last night and much of today I worked in 1 of 17 buildings, pulling out Sylvania F32T8 4100ks and replacing them with 5-8 year old vintage Sylvania F32T8 3000k.  I need the 4100ks for a building that doesn't reflect well with the 3000k.  Also I want to use up these 5-10 year old 3000ks.  I also converted about 10 fixtures from being on 24/7 to switch operation.  This building only needs 5 on 24/7 fixtures, not 20.  Not sure what the boneheads were smoking when they built the building.

This morning, (in the frost)!, I fitted two 150watt TD halide floods above our vehicle jet washing station at work, then split a load of 400watt halide floods into two circuits, (from one), that had been pulled up on an electrical inspection!

Fitting a lighting column and feeder pillar next week for some more halide floods on our new compound.

Today I finished the rest of the building converting over to 3000K from 4100K.  Well all that I wanted to get done. Now I have a bunch of 4100K tubes that have used up between 1/2 and 3/4 of their life :)  I'll stage them down at buildings closer to me so that I can run them to EoL and change em out myself.

Just yesterday I was at my sisters house and she was saying most of her Xmas lights didn't work so I sat there for an hour repairing them it was mostly changing out blown bulbs and checking plug wiring. I felt I've done a good thing for her

Parking lot light light duty tonight for a few poles at one of the church buildings.  25 feet up in the air on an A-Frame ladder, struggling to unscrew the bulb out of the socket, and it won't budge.  Was afraid the bulb would shatter in my hands (had gloves on) but the cement gave out instead.  The screw base is stuck/welded into the socket.  Going to have to get a new socket.  GRRRRRRR.

150 Watt HPS Large base.

On a side note- One of the parking lot bulbs I removed today at that same building was a 1998 vintage GE Lucalux (Say luca luca luca 10 times very fast) so it was likely put in the same time these fixtures were put in, back in 98.  The bulb was still burning, but rather dim.  Not too shabby.

Today I replaced 3 crappy Universal Triad T8 ballasts that lasted maybe.. 10-12 years of very limited use, before they crapped out.  What a shame.  Before T8s came along, Universal made the best ballasts out there.  Electronic ballasts SUCK.

Today I gutted a 2003 era 175 Watt MH RAB Wall Pack and "upgraded" it to 150 Watt HPS.  New photocell as well.

I bought two Hi-Bay four bulb Metalux F54T5 lights from Lowes-Hooked them up-one of the few flourescent lights i like.Lowes display touted them as replacing 400W MH-Ran one of those lights next to a 400W MH light-and I don't think so-the MH wins!!!But like the new flourescent light anyway. Also bought 4 Sylvania LED lamps to replace some CFL bulbs in the bathroom! The 100W eq bulbs are MUCH better-will see how they do.So my last weekend did get some new lighting equipment.Got to feed my flashoholic needs!

Today I went to our most remote church building to fix some minor things.  I also replaced an EoL cycling 100W HPS bulb in a wall pack, and also replaced about 5 EoL F32T12s with new ones.  Sylvania 4100k, Ecologic 3.  They are good tubes with a very nice white tone.  No dim starting unlike the Previous Gen Ecologic II- which were very poor and gave Sylvania fluorescents a bad rap from 2004ish until the Eco-3s came out in 2014/15.  The Eco-1s had no issues and were very reliable, I predict the Eco 3's will be just as good.  The Eco-3s also have filament guards too, something they had not had previously.
