My Ge Flo. Tube will run for about five minutes then go into a cycling mode and if i let it cool for a while it does it all over again. I dodn't think flo. tubes cycled!! Thanks

Sounds like ballast failure or overheating is causing the thermal protector ("P" rated ballast) to cut off the ballast when it reaches a certain temperature, then switch back on about 5 min later when it's cooled down. Usually is a ballast problem, but sometimes a bad lamp, extremely hot ambient temperature, etc. can cause the cycling.

I don't think it is the thermal switch becuase it just turns on and then dies and starts right back up in a second  again and it still does it for a while.
