| 							 Sounds like ballast failure or overheating is causing the thermal protector ("P" rated ballast) to cut off the ballast when it reaches a certain temperature, then switch back on about 5 min later when it's cooled down. Usually is a ballast problem, but sometimes a bad lamp, extremely hot ambient temperature, etc. can cause the cycling.
