I don't see any white arc that appears in the lamp before exploding.

Polish photographer of English streetlights, Rugby, well of course Polish fixtures as well.

He used a HV transformer to explode the lamp. In that case, every lamp would explode, including fluorescent and LPS/SOX lamps.
