what brand is this? « on: October 07, 2018, 12:46:43 PM » Author: valirex
I have this lamp from garbage of an old factory.
I didn't had such thing in my collection so i save it.
Now the question is,what brand should be? who made it,cause i didn't found any sign or mark on the bulb or the base.
I only know what i see,a 250 W mercury,twin arc tube  :a_mv:
Maybe some of you recognize some details to help me to find who made it  :D

Judging from the socket end, it appears to be a generic Chinese made lamp.

The fact that the lamp is a twin arc-tube mercury vapor says to me that this would be easier answered by one of our members in Europe. I don't believe twin tube mercury vapor was ever used in north america, I could be wrong though ! (wouldn't be the first time!!!)

It has no filament, only 2 arc tubes. so can't be self ballasted.

The lamps look to be connected in series, the halogen tube just seems to be blackened. :)

I bet itís one of those generic halogen tubes that they Ďdonítí actually backfill with halogen, ( hence the whole thing has gone black )!
