Yes, I had to go to the forum page to log into the gallery side.

I used to go on it occasionally, some very good content there. But I haven’t been in quite some time.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.

Can anyone get hold to the person who manages that site?

There is no private or financial data being transferred on that site (or this one, or for that matter most any other forum-type site) ... HTTPS is not needed.
This. that extra (and un-needed) 'S' is going to cost more since there are fees associated with the "certificate authority"(ie: company that validates the site's security certificate)
Two words, Let's Encrypt.
They offer HTTPS certificates for free.
There is literally no point in not having HTTPS these days when Let's Encrypt is FREE and many of us use the same passwords for every site (which is quite a bad habit).

That site did have https certificate until now.  It is currently down and an attempt to contact the owner went unanswered :(

@rjluna2 ...Maybe they've lost interest? There hasn't been any activity on that site in ages.

Happens at least once or twice a year, not too surprised. IIRC I believe the owner is active on the Facebook lighting communities, maybe try contacting them that way.

No. that thing is a piece of sh... avoid it!
Causes issues with older browsers & devices. Making websites fully inaccessible.

There is no reason for any publicly-accessible forum to need that extra 'S' on HTTP.

Yep this. Unfortunately GOL goes down on a semi-regular basis.
Its why I no longer update my gallery there.

I'm done with GOL at this point. That site crashes pretty regularly so there's no point in using it anymore.

Is it truly dead at that point that the owner of the site cannot be reached? :(

I texted the owners phone and still haven't heard back yet. I haven't really been active there for years but I would like to. If it gets back up and running I'll start posting more again.
