So is 33°C considered hot on your side(s) of the pond? Because it was 43°C with 60% humidity here last week...
Yes 33°C is considered quite hot in the UK but fortunately the temperature rarely exceeds 30°C for more than perhaps 15 days a year. The humidity is often quite high however. Very few homes have AC here as high temperatures are generally not much of an issue. Cold and rain is more typical of UK weather. Today is a bit cooler at 29°C and 54% humidity.

| I'm in one of the colder parts of Australia, so temperatures over 40°c are rare, though last summer had days of 38°c in the afternoons regularly. It's currently the end of winter here, and the lowest temperatures that I noticed were just below 0 in the mornings.

Somewhere There Is Light(ning)
|
| Nothing severe where I am, and infact there hasn't been any real storms at all this summer. This summer has been a complete disappointment for its lack of thunderstorms. Just can't even get a good lightning-show. Pretty much been drought here, even so-called "monsoon season" has been a dud.
------------------ Today had a high of 95 (mid 90's aren't uncommon here in summer).. and humidity at its lowest point was 9% (teens or single digits are normal here in the summer too). So yeah it gets hot, but its not unbearable because of the low humidity.

Still seeing blue AEL Autobahns in 2025...

@xmaslightguy – exact opposite for me here in the northeast. We had quite a thunderstorm yesterday- booming thunder, and cloud-to-ground lightning. Lots of it. Neighbor's tree got hit pretty hard, luckily it was raining by then, else it would've caught fire from the dry spell we've had these last two weeks or so.

Sometimes it just takes time and concerted effort to learn something new. Don't give up before you get there.

@dor123, that video was interesting. Does Israel often see severe thunderstorms like what we get here in America?
