hopefully none of my lights saw any damage.
Its pretty unlikely that a magnetic-ballasted light would be damaged by power flickers or voltage spikes...unless you're talking a direct lightning strike. .lol.
Now, electronic ballasts or those smart-plugs, they could be taken out by a spike or surge.
Had it not been for the Tornado Sirens, I would not have known there was incoming danger.
Which is exactly why the sirens exist
They did their job of warning you!

Had a round of non-severe thunderstorms move through my area tonight.
Forecast mentioned the specific possibility of night storms starting a bit after dark.
I was outside late afternoon & didn't see much chance at that time.
Then looked out sometime after dinner & noticed clouds were starting to build..
..and in a certain way I recognized, where I was like 'I think its gonna do it'. So I was kinda expecting something (& hoping for it too)
Then I looked at radar a hour or so later, and sure enough little cells were starting to form
They grew to a point where I decided its time to grab the camcorder ... was gonna go outside to watch & video, but the little storm had arrived.
After it passed by, me the tripod & the camcorder went out for some stormwatching. .lol.
They hit the nail right on the head with that forecast.
(as did my look at the clouds & recognize a specific setup/possibility we get here & 'I think its gonna do it')
