I will be keeping an eye on one of my F30T12's... a classic Sylvania F30T12, that could be going EOL soon. Sometime around 12am, the etch side of that lamp, which had been giving off a slight pinkish hue compared to all of the other lamp endings, did a noticeable blue flash, before reverting back to the pinkish hue state. Possible hotspot movement... it's funny because that ending barely has any blackening, just a very slight spotting that is barely even noticeable. No "Tear Drop of Death" end blackening yet, but I expect that to change. This is on the same fixture I mentioned in my previous message, on the ballast that I plan on changing soon. Maybe it will turn blue and stay blue/catch me off guard. I've had that happen in school before, where I was expecting a lamp to get to the point of EOL/Tear Drop of Death, etc... but the ending turned blue and stayed that way for the rest of the school year. Me being a kid at the time, I was disappointed.

Removed the 4ft 2-lamp wraparound fixture from my downstairs hallway/laundry area. It was a bit too much for the area it was being used. In its place, I put up the Lampi Studio wraparound that was originally purchased for the laundry area back in 1999. At some point, I'll put up a more conventional 2-bulb fixture, but I'll use this until the sheetrock is put back up.

| Started installing the light in the attic of the addition. Got the light box hung, MC cable run from the light to the switch, and the switch wired up at the access opening. Still have to run a cable from the attic lights in the old section to get power from.

| Made a bunch of progress in getting the attic lights working again. Got lights 2 and 3 terminated and put up, with the oddball Paulding lampholder back in position #2 and a modern Eaton in position #3. Got the 3-conductor cable run from the original switch #1 to new switch #2 and installed the switches. I still have to drop a new cable from light #1 down the wall to the switch box where power will be coming from.

Speaking of LPS, due to rising electric fuel surcharge, I took down my Dusk-to-Dawner and replaced it with my LPS NEMA using a Formed Plastics Type III refractor and a partially used SOX Plus from nicksfans.

| Whoaaa. I found a working SDW-TG White SON (HPS) installation in the wild! It is in a very small Albert Heijn (upper class) supermarket at Haarlemmerplein, Amsterdam.
It is in the back of the first picture - the bread/bakery department, where they were used traditionally to accentuate the yellow and brown tint of fresh bread. You can see the yellow hue. They all were different colors due to them probably being aged out. One was aged so badly that it was as yellow as a normal SON. Close up in 2nd and 3rd.
The rest of the store was a mix of TL5 and yellowing PL ceiling cans (the phone's auto white balance makes it look way more crisp than it does), with here and there a LED ceiling can. The shop's exterior is under renovation. It will probably be a matter of weeks, maybe months before the interior is done as well.
I felt too awkward to go around taking pictures in the supermarket to get more detailed shots.

| I haven't done it yet, but here soon when it gets darker, I plan on firing up my Metal Halides in my garage and recording them, not just for my Metal Halide mass start up compilation video, but also because I'm actually going to send that video to my best friend. Off topic, but her and her family are heavily into acting, social media, etc. They're also heavily into posting creepy scenes on YouTube. We all know that Metal Halide's are awesome, but I know for a fact that Metal Halides can also be used in creepy or serious scenes... so I'm going to send my friend two videos. One video of the Metal Halides firing up, and then the other video will be used as an example of how those Metal Halides can be used for creepy or serious movie or TV show scenes. Case in point, while those Metal Halides are firing up, just the scene of someone WALKING from one side of the room to the other, will be intense. Combination of light, sound, imagery... maybe I sound crazy at the moment, but some of you probably understand what I mean.
