I started on GOL in 2013, found this one in 2014 and was more active on GOL, and ended up here during one of the bigger downtimes from 2018-2019. Too bad as I had some pictures there I don't have on here

Surprisingly the domain and hosting is still up, it's just a configuration issue with the forum software. I was a bit more active on GOL back when it had more activity but started transitioning here after it had a few major extended outages. I think I backed up most of my pictures and the descriptions anyway.

I did have some duplicates on both sites, but the majority of the stuff I put on there I didn't put here.. I was purposely trying to create/keep separate galleries for different things.
I don't bother with it anymore even though I have more photos I could post there.

It may have a chance that the hosting site needs to be reboot or something like that :-\

It originally went down due to a config error with the hosting still active, given the lack of attention to fixing it I would have been surprised if someone was still paying for the hosting. Without payment I guess the host took the site down.

Looks like the galleryoflights.org domain name is still valid until 2/8/2026, after then without payment to renew it, it might go back to registrar and resold...which is why you sometimes see long dead websites reappear with completely different content.

@joseph_125 - wasn't it galleryoflights.org?

Sometimes it just takes time and concerted effort to learn something new. Don't give up before you get there.

Correct, LG was the one with the .net domain, not GoL.
